Getting Started with K-State Online

This session will give you an overview and hands-on practice with the following:

• Creating a course
• Installing/uninstalling course components
• Working with your Course Organizer
• Importing your roster

Managing and Organizing Your Content

This session will give you an overview and hands-on practice with the following:

• Organizing and uploading content to your course
• Creating file drop boxes
• Creating web pages

Learn how to upload and organize files within your course.

Creating Manual and Online Assignments

This session will give you an overview and hands-on practice with the many features of manual and online assignments including:

• Creating assignments that can be manually scored
• Entering scores for in-class assignments
• Creating multiple question types (multiple-choice, true/false, matching, essay, etc.)
• Using a variety of online options such as timed assignments, extra credit assignments, extra credit questions and much, much more!
• Controlling apsects of your online assignment such as the number of questions per page, limiting the number student submissions and allowing for exceptions, allowing for a written part of the assignment to go along with the online portion, and much, much more!

Enhance Course Communication with E-Mail, Announcements, Calendar and More!

This session will give you an overview and hands-on practice with tools for communicating within your course including:

• E-mailing your students
• Setting up announcments for your course
• Creating a Calendar of events
• Creating and using message boards and chat rooms

Creating and Managing Classroom Attendance
